Grown on the Phoenix Mountains of Guangdong, Phoenix Oolong is characterized by its dark, twisted leaves. Its processing method is labor intensive in which every batch is plucked from a single bush and then baked slowly. The result is a floral brew that is unique in the Oolong tea family.
Oolong literally means "black dragon" and is named after how its tea leaves take on the appearance of little black dragons awakening and unfurling when hot water is poured into the cup.
